Scope

This domain covers bitstream, display, and other media capabilities. Sub-domains and read/write scope follow device.capability.list (for example media.codec is channel scope and media.display is device scope); see Capability usage. Encrypted playback is in Media security.

A sub-account needs Config. A shared device needs the basic configuration permission. Bitstream, OSD, and watermark are channel scope; display and video source are device scope. Omitting channelId on channel-scope capabilities returns DV2007.

Reader notes

Start with Using capabilities. Call device.capability.list before you use IDs on this page. See Permission codes and Capability errors.
