network.wifi.rssi (Get Wi-Fi signal property)

network.wifi.rssi: Get Wi-Fi signal property

network.wifi.rssi · device scope · permission Config

What it does

Reads the device’s current Wi-Fi signal level (standalone property leaf, suitable for list badges or light polling). Differs from embedded intensity (0–4) in Get Wi-Fi info property and link strength on Get network status property—do not validate with the same enum set. Reflects current signal level; set may be rejected; follow accessMode from this device.capability.list call.

Request URL

Minimum permission

Administrators acting on their own bound devices do not need extra permission. Acting on shared devices requires basic configuration permission. Sub-user binding does not require it. Sub-accounts need Config.

Response data fields

The value is in result.data.properties["network.wifi.rssi"].

Actual type and enum follow the ident bound in device.capability.list; the table below is the common wifi_rssi/11800 five levels plus wired. The same leaf may bind wifi_rssi_3L/16200 (enum 0–4, no 5 wired) or wifi_rssi_customer/1011 (int 0–100 percent—do not parse as 0–5). See Set Wi-Fi signal property.
